Baseball Picked to Repeat as AMCC Champions

La Roche College Baseball was picked to repeat as AMCC Conference Champions in the recently released preseason poll. The Redhawks won both the AMCC Regular Season and Tournament Championships in 2012 and also clinched their first-ever bid into the NCAA Tournament where they defeated Westminster College.

La Roche was also selected to win the AMCC Conference Championship by and are currently receiving Top 25 votes in its national poll.

Brian Tougher and Jesse Bauer were named Preseason Players to Watch.

In 2012, Tougher was named the ECAC Newcomer of the Year, the AMCC Newcomer of the Year, and an All-Conference Third Team performer. He finished seventh in the AMCC in batting average and hit .397 with 10 doubles and 40 RBI.

Bauer posted a 2.58 ERA and struck out 49 batters while walking just 14 as the Redhawks' closer last season. He was also an All-Conference Third Team selection.
