GREENVILLE, PA –Dan Burns singled home Sean Lubin in the bottom of the twelfth inning as La Roche Baseball (14-4) outlasted Thiel College (9-9) 9-6 in a PAC vs. AMCC matchup on Wednesday night.

"This was a great comeback win for us," said Coach Rowe. "Ian Kelly was huge in relief today and it was good to see the team have a refuse to lose attitude."

James Connelly got the starting nod and held Thiel scoreless for 5 innings while the Redhawks took a 5-0 advantage. Lubin, Brian Tougher, Tyler Marrero, Colin Williamson, and Tyler Craig scored runs, while Lubin, Burns, Tougher, Anthony Girdano, and Shane Healey provided RBIs.

Thiel got on the board with an RBI groundout in the bottom of the sixth inning and added 5 runs in the seventh including a home run to take a 6-5 lead. However, La Roche responded with a Girdano RBI single in the top of the eighth inning and 4 perfect innings of relief from Ian Kelly.

The Redhawks scored 3 runs in the top of the twelfth inning including the winning RBI from Burns and Jesse Bauer threw a scoreless bottom half of the inning to earn the save.

Lubin scored twice and swiped 2 bases, and Craig, Marrero, and Williamson each scored. Lubin, Tougher, and Shane Healey provided RBI hits in the win.

The 12-inning game was La Roche's second during Coach Rowe's tenure. The Redhawks also won an important 6-5 dozen inning game over Penn State Behrend last season.
