Redhawks Open Coach Scott Lang Court With Win

PITTSBURGH, PA – A large number of former La Roche College basketball players were in attendance to see the Redhawks (16-1, 10-0) open up Coach Scott Lang Court with a 72-56 win over AMCC rival Hilbert College (6-11, 3-7).

The win extends the Redhawks win-streak to a record fifteen games and also sets the school record for most wins in a season with sixteen.

Joel McIntosh led the Redhawks with 15 points and 5 rebounds and Mike Dixon finished with 12 points and 8 rebounds. Laron Mann added 10 points and 5 assists and David Jackson grabbed 5 offensive rebounds.

La Roche held the Hawks' leading scorer, Dan McFarland, to 11 points. McFarland came into the contest averaging 17.3 PPG in AMCC Conference play.

The Redhawks currently lead the AMCC Conference and will travel to Pitt-Greensburg (6-11, 3-8) on Wednesday, January 26 at 8:00PM. The Bobcats are coming off of a 73-47 lost to Medaille.
