PITTSBURGH, PA – Mike Dixon scored 14  points on 6 of 11 shooting as the Redhawks fell to #10 Pitt in a scrimmage at the Peterson Events Center.

La Roche had a strong game on the glass recording twenty-four rebounds including nine on the offensive end. The Redhawks also made 8 of 13 shots from the foul line.

Dixon finished with 14 points and 2 assists and Joel McIntosh added 6 points. Derek Barber-Richards and Andre Flanigan registered five rebounds a piece.

La Roche held Big East Preseason Player of the Year Ashton Gibbs to 15 points. The Panthers were picked to finish fourth in the Big East and are currently ranked eleventh in the nation.

La Roche men's basketball will host Washington & Jefferson on Saturday, November 5 at 9:00AM for a scrimmage at the Kerr Fitness Center.
