GREENSBURG, PA – Five Redhawks scored in double figures including David Jackson who recorded his fourth double-double of the season in an 82-68 win over AMCC Conference foe Pitt-Greensburg (2-5, 1-2).
La Roche trailed by a point with less than twelve minutes in regulation before going on a 14-1 run to break things open. The run was highlighted by two Ryan Frantz three-pointers.
AMCC Player of the Week, David Jackson, finished with 19 points and 14 rebounds. Joel McIntosh scored 18 points and Ryan Frantz racked up 5 three-pointers. Andre Flanigan netted 16 points and Michael Dixon added 4 assists and 3 steals.
AMCC Preseason Player of the Year, David Palmer, registered 19 points and 9 rebounds in the losing effort.
The Redhawks outrebounded the Bobcats 47-35 including 23-11 on the offensive glass. La Roche also outscored Pitt-Greensburg 38-28 in the paint and 20-12 off of turnovers.
La Roche will travel to Penn State Behrend on Saturday for a rematch of the AMCC Conference Championship. Last season the Redhawks beat Penn State Behrend 55-53 in the Conference Finals.
