PITTSBURGH, PA – Joel McIntosh scored 26 points and grabbed 12 boards in the Redhawks (10-3, 5-1) 92-83 loss to D'Youville College (4-8, 4-1) on Saturday. The loss snaps a fifteen game winning streak against AMCC Conference opponents.
McIntosh recorded his first double-double of the season (26 points, 12 rebounds) and David Jackson finished with his eighth double-double this season (10 points, 20 rebounds). Marcus Martin (12 points), Ryan Frantz (11 points), and Mike Dixon (11 points) each netted double digit points. Dixon also had 8 rebounds and 5 assists in the loss.
D'Youville's Raysean Johnson led all scorers with 27 points and last season's NCAA blocks leader, Patrick Croyle, finished with 7 blocks.
Despite the loss, the Redhawks out-rebounded D'Youville 54-35 and outscored them in the paint 40-28.
La Roche men's basketball will host Medaille tomorrow at 3:00PM. The Mavericks currently sit atop the AMCC Conference Standings while the Redhawks follow in second place.
