PITTSBURGH, PA – La Roche men's basketball (12-4, 7-2) shot a season-high 57% from the field in an 85-47 win over Franciscan in a conference matchup on Monday at the Kerr Fitness Center. The win keeps the Redhawks in second place in the AMCC Conference standings.
La Roche shot 53% from behind the arc and scored 17 points off of turnovers to build a nineteen point lead at halftime. The Redhawks continued their hot shooting in the second half in their largest win of the season.
Joe Dice led La Roche with a career-high 15 points and hit 5 of 8 shots from 3-point point range. David Jackson netted 14 points and 6 rebounds and Oneal Brown added 11 points and 8 boards. Derek Barber-Richards and Mike Dixon recorded 5 assists apiece.
The Redhawks out-rebounded Franciscan 33-16 and led in bench points 52-3. La Roche also hit 15 of 29 attempts from 3-point land.
La Roche men's basketball will travel to Mt. Aloysius on Thursday to take on the Mounties. The Redhawks recorded a school-record 62 rebounds in a 117-87 win on November 30.
