Jackson Gets Ninth Double-Double in Redhawks 89-69 Win Over Mt. Aloysius

CRESSON, PA – David Jackson recorded his ninth double-double of the season in the Redhawks (13-4, 8-2) 89-69 win over Mt. Aloysius (6-11, 4-6) on Thursday night. Jackson currently ranks in the top 15 nationally and second in the AMCC in double-doubles.

The Redhawks led 14-12 at the 12:26 mark of the first half before going on a 22-4 run to break the game open. La Roche hit 5 three-pointers during the run and Jackson finished the first half with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

La Roche continued their success in the second half by dominating the glass. The Redhawks out-rebounded Mt. Aloysius by eight in the second half and had 10 points in the paint.

Jackson scored 20 points on 9 of 15 shooting and grabbed 12 boards. Ryan Frantz hit 4 three-pointers and netted 14 points and Derek Barber-Richards added 12 points. Andre Flanigan finished with 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists in the win.

The Redhawks will travel to Hilbert College on Saturday, January 21, 2012 to take on the Hawks. David Jackson recorded 12 points and 18 rebounds in a 72-55 win over Hilbert earlier this season.
