Reykdal, Hamill Lead Redhawks Past Hilbert

PITTSBURGH, PA – Dustin Reykdal scored four goals and added two assists for a team-leading 23 points as the Redhawks (3-4) came back to beat Hilbert College (4-4) 10-9 (OT) in front of a large crowd on Homecoming.

La Roche trailed 9-8 late in regulation before Reykdal buried a goal with five seconds remaining to tie it at 9-9 and force overtime. Matt Hamill won it less than two minutes into overtime with his team-leading fifteenth goal of the season.

Crawford Healy finished with three goals and Hamill added two goals in the overtime win. Bryce Wells recorded a goal and assist and Shawn Teixeira registered two assists.

The Redhawks finished with a season-high 62 ground balls and outshot Hilbert 27-23.

Goalkeeper Eugene LaBorde made 13 saves in the win.

La Roche Lacrosse will try to get back to .500 when they travel to Ohio Valley on Tuesday, April 12 at 3:30PM.
