Lacrosse Grabs 48 Ground Balls in 16-12 Loss to Hilbert

HAMBURG, NY – La Roche Lacrosse (5-5) allowed six power-play goals as they fell to Hilbert College (6-5) 16-12 on a rainy Tuesday in Hamburg, NY. The loss evens the season series at 1-1 after La Roche beat Hilbert College 10-9 on April 9, 2011 at Redhawks' Field.

Crawford Healy led the Redhawks with four goals and Dustin Reykdal added three goals. Matt Hamill and Jean-Guillaume Thouin scored two goals apiece in the loss.

The Redhawks, who currently rank second in the nation in ground balls, grabbed forty-eight ground balls. Healy finished with a season-high ten ground balls and TJ Leo and Arsalan Arabani registered six each. Hamill recorded a career-high thirteen shots and Eugene LaBorde made thirteen saves.

The Redhawks will return to action on Saturday, April 23 at 12:00PM when they take on Ferrum University at Redhawks' Field.
