Griffith Scores Five Goals as Lacrosse Clinches Winning Season

PITTSBURGH, PA – La Roche Lacrosse (7-5) clinched a winning season in their final home game of the season by defeating Thiel College (2-11) 15-2 on Thursday.

Joseph Griffith led the Redhawks with a career-high five goals and Crawford Healy added three goals and an assist. Jean-Guillaume Thouin and Kiel Morris recorded two goals apiece in the win.

Thouin led the Redhawks with eight shots and Reykdal added seven shots. TJ Leo, who currently ranks forty-sixth in the nation in ground balls, recorded twelve ground balls.

Arsalan Arabani won 14 of 21 faceoffs and the Redhawks converted 19 of 25 clears. The Redhawks outshot Thiel 36-14 and led in groundballs 47-23.

La Roche Lacrosse will finish their season on Saturday, April 30 at 2:00PM when they travel to Otterbein University (7-7). Otterbein is coming off of a 19-4 loss to Denison on Tuesday.
