PITTSBURGH, PA – Eugene LaBorde made 16 saves and the Redhawks converted 15 of 22 clears but La Roche Men's Lacrosse (1-4) fell to Aurora College (2-1) 12-7 in a muddy and wet game on Thursday.
Dustin Reykdal, Crawford Healy, and Mike Kenski each finished with 2 goals and Garrett Fraser added his first career goal. Shawn Texieira assisted on a goal and led the Redhawks with 7 ground balls and 6 face off wins and Brad Nylen forced 3 turnovers.
Despite the loss, La Roche took thirty-five shots including twenty-one that reached net. The Redhawks also scooped up thirty-five ground balls and forced sixteen turnovers.
La Roche Men's Lacrosse will travel to Columbus, OH on Saturday for a neutral site game against Hanover College. Last season, the Redhawks defeated Hanover 16-5.
