Lacrosse Cruises in 18-13 Win Over Hilbert

PITTSBURGH, PA – Mike Kenski tied a career-high with 5 goals as La Roche Men's Lacrosse (5-8) cruised to an 18-13 win over Hilbert College (2-4) on Saturday.

Kenski scored 4 first-half goals to put La Roche ahead 12-6 after thirty minutes of play. The Redhawks largest lead of the contest came when Jean-Guillaume Thouin scored his second goal to put La Roche up 17-7 with 12:24 left. The visiting Hawks then scored six straight goals before Dustin Reykdal netted his third of the game to seal the deal.

Kenski led the Redhawks with 5 goals and an assist and took a game-high 13 shots. Crawford Healy recorded 4 goals and Dustin Reykdal added 3 goals and an assist. Jean-Guillaume Thouin netted two goals and Bryce Wells, Brad Nylen, Shane Ficcorilli, and Jon Monahan each contributed one goal each. La Roche's goalkeeper, Eugene LaBorde, led the Redhawks on defense with 8 saves and 7 ground balls.

La Roche outshot Hilbert 47-37 in the win. The Redhawks also collected 16 more ground balls, committed 10 less turnovers, and went 4 for 5 with a man-up.

La Roche Men's Lacrosse will face Otterbein on Saturday, April 14 in the second game of a four game homestand. It is the first meeting between the Redhawks and Otterbein.
