PITTSBURGH, PA – Dustin Reykdal tied La Roche's single-season point record (49) in the Redhawks' (5-10) 16-9 loss to Medaille College(5-5) on Wednesday. La Roche outshot the visiting Mavericks 53-34 and held a 5-4 lead at the end of the first quarter, but Medaille's goalkeeper, Sean Kettles, made 20 saves to preserve the win.
Mike Kenski and Jean-Guillaume Thouin led the Redhawks with 3 goals each and Dustin Reykdal scored 2 for his team-leading 40th goal of the season. Kenski and Reykdal also added their ninth assists of the year. Bryce Wells got on the tally sheet for the seventh consecutive game with a goal and an assist and Blaine Shaffner and Jon Monahan registered assists.
Five Redhawks forced 2 turnovers apiece and TJ Leo finished with 5 ground balls. Eugene LaBorde made 8 saves in the loss.
La Roche Lacrosse will look to rebound when they host Oberlin College on Saturday at 2:00PM as part of Homecoming.
