LaBorde Makes 17 Saves in His Hometown

ASTON, PA – Eugene LaBorde made 17 saves is his hometown of Philadelphia but the Redhawks (5-12) dropped their season finale to Neumann University (6-10) 18-6 on Saturday.

Mike Kenski scored 2 goals to tie Dustin Reykdal's school-record 40 goals in a season while Jean-Guillaume Thouin added 2 goals himself. Torron Coleman scored his first goal of the season and Steve Murphy recorded his sixth. Blaine Shaffner registered an assist in the loss.

Shawn Teixiera led the Redhawks on defense with 9 ground balls and won 11 of 15 faceoffs. Mike Kenski and Jean-Guillaume Thouin contributed 6 ground balls apiece and Nate Marsh and Torron Coleman forced 2 turnovers each.

Despite the loss, La Roche won the faceoff battle and converted 21 of 28 ground balls. The Redhawks also finished with 52 ground balls and took 41 shots.
