La Roche men's soccer was chosen to finish fourth in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference preseason poll released today.
Last season, the Redhawks clinched an AMCC Tournament appearance for the fourth consecutive season and finished with a 10-7-1 record. La Roche has made the postseason in all three seasons under head coach David Day.
The Redhawks return most of their 2011-2012 roster including Bryan Weimerskirch and Ryan Luffey who were named AMCC Conference Players to Watch.
Weimerskirch enjoyed a historic freshman season tying the school's record for most points in a season and ranking amongst the AMCC leaders in points, assists and goals. He was named ECAC Rookie of the Year, AMCC Newcomer of the Year and to the AMCC All-Conference Second Team.
Luffey set a new school record for assists with twelve and added six goals while placing in the AMCC's top 10 in points and assists. He earned AMCC First Team All Conference honors.
The preseason poll is voted on by all ten AMCC Conference men's soccer coaches.
