Six Different Redhawks Score as Redhawks Roll to 6-2 Win Over D'Youville

PITTSBURGH, PA – Six different Redhawks scored goals as La Roche men's soccer (5-6, 4-1) cruised to a 6-2 win over conference rival D'Youville College (2-11, 1-4) on Saturday.

The Redhawks reeled off four consecutive goals after D'Youville tied the score at 2-2 ten minutes into the second half. Tyler Irwin scored the game-winning goal in the 66th minute before Ryan, Luffey, Matt Domiano, and Gilbert Uwineza added insurance goals.

Yousef Barqawi scored his second goal of the season and Chad Trozzi scored his third. Luffey registered 3 assists in addition to his goal to take the AMCC Conference lead in assists (9). Irwin, Robert Fraino, and Bryan Weimerskirch added assists in the win.

La Roche outshot D'Youville 24-7 and goalkeeper Nick Sabol recorded the win.

The Redhawks will try to extend their win-streak to 3 games when they host Franciscan University on Tuesday. The Barons come into the game with a 0-12 record.
