Men's XC Runs to Third Place Finish, Kidder Leads Women's XC Team

ERIE, PA – La Roche men's and women's cross country competed in the Mercyhurst-Gannon Cross Country Invitational on Saturday in driving rain and hail. The field consisted of six teams including NCAA Division II opponents Mercyhurst, Gannon, Clarion, and Pitt-Johnstown, and AMCC Conference rival Pitt-Bradford.

Jeff Dailey led the men's cross country team to a third place with a 21st place finish and a time of 33:28 on the muddy course. Dominique Clayton (37:08, 29th), Robert Patterson (38:24, 30th), Alameen Byers (38:37, 31st), and Brandon Schrecengost (43:55, 32nd) followed to complete the five runner field.

Alecia Kidder finished with a time of 30:23 (53rd) to lead the Lady Redhawks. Kaitlin Oliver (38:40, 64th) and Katrina Forrester (42:23, 65th) followed for La Roche.

Five La Roche Men completed the 8k (5 mile) race:

Jeff Dailey: 33:38 21st place

Dominique Clayton: 37:08 29th place

Robbie Patterson 38:24 30th place

Alameen Byers 38:37 31st place

Brandon Schrecengost 43:55 32nd place

 

Three La Roche women completed the 6k (3.9 mile) race:

Alecia Kidder 30:23 53rd place

Kaitlin Oliver 38:40 64th place

Katrina Forrester 42: 23 65th place
