PITTSBURGH, PA – The Lady Redhawks (14-15, 10-5) dropped both games of a double-header to Mt. Aloysius (17-7, 8-2) 5-4, 7-1 in an important AMCC Conference series on Thursday.

La Roche held a 4-2 lead heading into the bottom of the seventh inning of game 1 but could not hold it as the Mounties recorded five consecutive hits in the inning.

Starting pitcher Kara Jo Egelsky threw her eleventh complete game of the season allowing five runs on fourteen hits while striking out four batters.

Sydnie Martin went 2 for 2 with a RBI, a run scored, and a stolen base. Chelsea Faynor had an RBI and Autumn Hubert scored a run.

The Lady Redhawks allowed three runs in the first inning on their way to falling 7-1 in game 2.

Ashley DeVito started and allowed three runs (two earned runs) on two hits in three innings. Samantha Colton and Deanna Tritinger combined to allow four runs (three earned runs) in the final three innings.

Amber Steenbeke recorded La Roche's only RBI and Kim McLay scored their only run. Sydnie Martin reached base twice in the loss.

The Lady Redhawks will host a double-header against D'Youville on Saturday, April 30 at 1:00PM. It will be followed by the conclusion of the Penn State Behrend game which was originally played on Tuesday, April 26.
