Lady Redhawks Earn Split in Double-Header Against D'Youville

PITTSBURGH, PA – The Lady Redhawks (15-16, 11-6) split two games of a double-header to D'Youville College (16-6, 11-3) 2-0, 7-2 in AMCC Conference action on Saturday.

Kara Jo Egelsky threw her twelfth complete game of the season in the game one loss. She allowed two runs on four hits while striking out seven batters and walking only one.

Autumn Hubert recorded a hit to extend her streak to seven games. Hubert has reached base safely in nineteen consecutive games. Jodi Walsh went 2 for 3 in the loss.

The Lady Redhawks scored seven runs in the bottom of the third inning to win game two 7-2. Nine consecutive batters reached base including Ashley Baron who recorded a 2 RBI single in the inning.

Starting pitcher Sam Colton threw 6 1/3 innings allowing two runs on six hits. Deanna Tritinger threw the remaining 2/3 of an inning.

All nine of the Lady Redhawks starters reached base including Jodi Walsh and Amber Steenbeeke who recorded two hits apiece.

Autumn Hubert failed to register a hit for the first time in eight games but walked in the third inning to extend her on-base streak to twenty games.
