Softball Predicted to Finish Sixth in AMCC, Zozos and Spain Tabbed as Players to Watch

The Lady Redhawks' softball team was predicted to finish in sixth place in the AMCC Conference in the recently released preseason poll voted on by all ten conference coaches. La Roche ended the 2012 campaign in seventh place in the AMCC at 14-18 and finished just one spot out of an AMCC Tournament bid.

Sophomores Kaylee Zozos and Alexandra Spain were selected as Preseason Players to Watch.

Zozos hit .411 in 2012 which ranked seventh in the AMCC and led the Lady Redhawks. She was named to the AMCC All-Conference Second Team and finished the year with 10 doubles, 27 RBIs, and 29 runs scored.

Spain was an AMCC All-Conference First Team performer in 2012 and ranked among the Lady Redhawks' leaders in hitting with a .362 BA, 24 runs, 11 doubles, and 27 RBI.
