Foul Shooting Helps Lady Redhawks in Win Over Mt. Aloysius

Trailing by 8 points at halftime, La Roche Women's Basketball (10-9) outscored host Mt. Aloysius College (4-13) by 21 points in the second half to defeat the Mounties 76-63 in an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Game.

The Lady Redhawks took advantage of Mt. Aloysius foul trouble hitting 28 of 37 free throws including 20 of 25 in the second half. Four Lady Redhawks scored in double figures including junior guard Chantelle Jennings (Pittsburgh, PA/Oakland Catholic HS) who scored a game high 22 points, her fifteenth game this season with at least 20 points. The win gives La Roche sole possession of fifth place in the AMCC in the race for the postseason.

The Lady Redhawks will travel to Pitt-Bradford on Saturday, January 30 at 1:00PM to take on the Panthers.
