BRADFORD, PA – The Lady Redhawks (19-4, 14-2) avenged a January 15th home loss to Pitt-Bradford (13-8, 11-5) with a 64-49 win at the KOA Arena in AMCC Conference play. The win extends their win streak to nine games and sets a school record for most wins in a season.
Senior guard Chantelle Jennings (Pittsburgh, PA/Oakland Catholic HS) led all scorers with 22 points including a 4 for 7 performance from three-point range. Freshman forward Jessica Pitts (Duquesne, PA/West Mifflin HS) recorded her eighth double-double of the season with 18 points and 12 rebounds.
La Roche scored 29 of their 64 points off of turnovers including twenty that came in the first half. The Lady Redhawks forced twenty turnovers in the game.
Pitt-Bradford guard Danielle Zeamer led the Panthers with 12 points and 7 rebounds and guard Maria Constanzo added 7 points. Constanzo led the Panthers with 20 points in their meeting on January 15th.
La Roche Women's Basketball will return to action on Wednesday, February 16th when they host Franciscan University (2-17, 2-13). The Lady Redhawks beat Franciscan 70-47 on January 17th at the Finnegan Fieldhouse in Steubenville, OH.
