Cygan Hits a School-Record 8 Three-Pointers in Win

PITTSBURGH, PA – Casie Cygan hit a school-record 8 three-pointers to lead La Roche (12-4, 9-0) in a 77-46 win over AMCC Conference foe Franciscan University on Monday at the Kerr Fitness Center.

The Lady Redhawks forced 20 first half turnovers to build a 39-23 halftime lead. La Roche continued their success in the second half by limiting turnovers and hitting 50% of their shots from three-point land.

Cygan finished with a game-high 28 points and Ja'Nia McPhatter and Jessica Pitts added 13 points and 12 points respectively. Amanda Garland had a season-high 9 assists in the win.

The Lady Redhawks, who currently rank sixth nationally in steals per game (16.2), finished with 28 steals. La Roche also assisted on 21 of 29 made baskets.

La Roche women's basketball will travel to Mt. Aloysius on Thursday to take on the Mounties. Jessica Pitts had a double-double in a 76-58 win over Mt. Aloysius on November 30.
