STEUBENVILLE, OH – LaShauna Brothers led the Lady Redhawks with 14 points and Ariel Green added 13 points as La Roche women's basketball (20-4, 17-0) rolled to an 88-52 win over Franciscan University (2-22, 2-15) on Wednesday. The victory is their thirtieth in a row against AMCC Conference competition.

The Lady Redhawks forced fifteen turnovers to take a commanding 45-19 lead into halftime. Green, Casie Cygan, and Jessica Pitts scored 8 points apiece in the first half and La Roche outscored Franciscan 21-0 off of turnovers.

La Roche's bench continued their success in the second half by contributing 28 points. Brothers led La Roche with 8 second half points and Leslie McPherson and Ja'Nia McPhatter each had 4 points off the bench.

Brothers finished with 14 points and 9 rebounds and Green added 13 points including 3 three-pointers. Chloe' Stewart posted a season-high 7 steals.

The Lady Redhawks out-rebounded Franciscan 40-30 and outscored them by 20 points in the paint. La Roche also outscored the Barons off of turnovers (28-5) and on second chance points (22-6).

La Roche women's basketball will travel to Medaille on Saturday for their regular season finale. The Lady Redhawks beat Medaille 47-38 on January 8, 2012.
