LADY REDHAWKS CLINCH #3 SEED IN THE AMCC TOURNAMENT

PITTSBURGH, pa -- La Roche Women's Soccer (11-6-1, 7-2) clinched the #3 seed in the AMCC Tournament with a 3-1 victory over Medaille College (2-14-1, 2-5-1).

Sophomore forward, Bethanie Moreschi, gave the Lady Redhawks a 1-0 lead less than five minutes into the contest when she buried a rebound on a shot by Lauren Nogal.

Medaille tied it 1-1- at the fifteen minute mark but La Roche answered in the seventy-fifth minute when Moreschi headed in a cross from junior midfielder Erica Pitacciato.

Five minutes later freshman Maria DiPerna added a goal to put the game away.

Junior goalkeeper Raelene Zajac made ten saves in the win.

La Roche Women's Soccer will host Penn State Altoona on Tuesday, October 26 at 1:00PM at Redhawks' Field.
