Lady Redhawks Roll to 9-0 Win Over Penn St. Beaver
PITTSBURGH, PA -- The Lady Redhawks (1-0) opened up the season with a 9-0 win over Penn St. Beaver (0-1) in a non-conference game at the La Roche Soccer Field.
AMCC co-player of the year, Bethanie Moreschi, led all scorers with three goals and an assist and Lindsey McKay added two goals and two assists in her first collegiate game. Maria DiPerna recorded a goal and an assist and Sam Caprini and Erin Barefoot each scored their first career goals.
The Lady Redhawks outshot the visiting Lions 32-0 including a 24-0 effort in the first half. La Roche took nine corners and scored on two.
The Lady Redhawks will travel to Waynesburg on Tuesday, September 6th at 6:15PM to take on the Yellow Jackets
