BEAVER FALLS, PA – La Roche Women's Soccer (2-1-1) fought to a 2-2 double overtime draw in a non-conference thriller against Geneva College (2-2-1).
The Lady Redhawks dominated play in the first half outshooting the host Golden Tornadoes 6-2 and outscoring them 2-0. Nicole Ferraco gave the Lady Redhawks a 1-0 lead in the 33rd minute and Bethanie Moreschi added another goal six minutes later before the Golden Tornadoes stormed back.
Geneva outshot the Lady Redhawks in the second half 8-3 and scored two goals in the final ten minutes to force overtime. La Roche could not add the game winner despite dominating both overtime periods.
Moreschi led the Lady Redhawks with a goal and an assist and Ferraco added a goal. Erin Barefoot recorded an assist in the tie.
La Roche Women's Soccer will travel to Thiel College (3-2) on Wednesday, September 14 at 2:00PM. The Bobcats are coming off of a 1-0 win over Pitt-Greensburg.
