Two Late Goals Lift Lady Redhawks in Important AMCC Conference Game

PITTSBURGH, PA – La Roche women's soccer (5-5-4) used two late goals to beat Hilbert College (7-7, 2-4) 2-0 in a windy AMCC Conference game at Shaler Area High School's Biles Field. The win propels the Lady Redhawks into fifth place in the AMCC Conference standings.

Lauren Nogal gave the Lady Redhawks a 1-0 lead after eighty minutes of scoreless play. Bethanie Moreschi sent a corner kick through the box and Nogal buried it. Moreschi added a goal of her own with two seconds left in regulation when she stole a ball from the Hilbert goalkeeper and tapped it home.

Moreschi, the AMCC Conference leader in goals and points, registered her fourth multipoint game of the season (1 goal, 1 assist) and Lauren Nogal scored her first goal of the season. Goalkeeper Ralene Zajac made seven saves to record her fifth shutout.

La Roche women's soccer will travel to Pitt-Greensburg (0-11-2, 0-4-2) on Tuesday to take on the Bobcats. The Bobcats are coming off of a 1-0 overtime loss to Medaille.
