La Roche women's soccer goalkeeper, Maria DiPerna, has been named the AMCC Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

Maria had a terrific week in net for the Lady Redhawks and allowed just one goal in 210 minutes. She registered a shutout by making 5 saves in a 0-0 2OT draw with Franciscan on Tuesday and followed it up by allowing just one goal in a huge 3-1 win over Medaille on Saturday.

Maria currently ranks second in the AMCC Conference in goals against average (1.41) and second in save percentage (.814).
