GREENVILLE, PA – La Roche women's volleyball (4-13) split a tri-match on Saturday at Thiel College to end their thirteen-game losing streak.
The Lady Redhawks opened the day by sweeping Chatham University (1-15) 3-0 (25-19, 25-18, 28-26). Emily Foust recorded a career-high thirty-three assists and Shawn Neiswonger added her second most kills of the season with fourteen. Shelby Weber had four serving aces in the win.
La Roche dropped the second match of the day to host Thiel College (8-6) 3-0 (6-25, 12-25, 14-25). The Lady Redhawks displayed great defense recording twenty-four digs, including seven by Courtney Stiner and six by Demetria Coleman. Neiswonger finished with six kills and Foust had ten assists.
Three of the four Lady Redhawk victories this season have been sweeps.
La Roche women's volleyball returns to action tomorrow at 7:00PM when they host Waynesburg University (7-6). The Yellow Jackets fell to Bethany College 3-0 on Saturday.
