EBENSBURG, PA – La Roche men's cross country finished sixth at Saturday's Mt. Aloysius Cross Country Invitational 8K at Ebensburg Golf Course. The Redhawks placed in front of AMCC Conference opponents, Medaille and Pitt-Bradford, and narrowly lost out to Mt. Aloysius and Pitt-Greensburg. The La Roche women's cross country team had a strong performance to finish eighth in the 6K race.
Jeffrey Turner led the men's cross country team for the third consecutive meet finishing 26th (33:10) and Joseph Kurcina followed shortly behind at 30th (33:54). Dominique Clayton ran another fast race to finish 38th (35:30) and Robert Patterson (38:48, 45th), Matthew Johnson (40:28, 48th), and Brandon Schrecengost (51:42, 54th) all continued their strong seasons for La Roche.
Former AMCC Conference Runner of the Week, Alecia Kidder, ran a 27:54 and finished in 17th place to lead the La Roche women's cross country team in the 6K. Irene Tamajong placed second for the Lady Redhawks and 59th overall (33:53) in her first 6K of the year and Kaitlyn Meyer, (36:15, 64th), Rebecca Burkhart (38:34, 70th), and Kaitlin Oliver (43:05, 73rd) followed to guide La Roche to an eighth place finish.
