PITTSBURGH, Pa. - La Roche men's basketball had a duo earn All-AMCC honors, as announced by the conference on Tuesday, with junior Bryce Epps and sophomore Major Rainey being named to the 2025-26 All-Conference team.
Epps earned All-AMCC selections in his first two seasons and only picked his game up more in his junior campaign, earning his third consecutive All-AMCC selection and first selection on the First Team.
Epps ends the regular season ranked third in the AMCC in scoring at 16.9 points per game, while averaging 6.2 rebounds (9th AMCC), 2.4 assists (T-10th AMCC) and 1.4 steals per game (T-10th AMCC).
Shooting from the field, Epps hit 52%, placing him 10th in the AMCC and 4th amongst guards, while connecting on 37.2% of his threes (T-10th) and 81.2% from the foul line (5th AMCC).
His 423 total points are 4th in the AMCC and he eclipsed the 1,000 point plateau this season. In AMCC play, Epps averaged 16.1 points (9th AMCC), 6.4 rebounds (10th AMCC), 2.3 assists and 1.3 steals. His 51.3% shooting in conference play places him 9th in the AMCC and he also connected on 36.7% of his shots from three.
In his first season as a starter, Rainey had a breakout campaign and was a big-time threat on both ends of the floor, as he earned a major award in AMCC Defensive Player of the Year, while also being named Second Team All-AMCC.
He averaged 16.4 points (7th AMCC), 6.4 rebounds and 161 total rebounds (both 6th AMCC), 1.3 assists and 0.7 steals. Rainey closes out the regular season as the AMCC's leader in blocks with 1.9 per game and 47 total for the season, a 12 block edge over 2nd place. His 28 blocks and 1.8 per game line led the AMCC during conference play as well.
Rebounding, Rainey finished the season averaging 6.8 per game in AMCC play (6th), while scoring 18.8 points in AMCC play (3rd). The sophomore forward also contributed 17 total steals on the season and had four double-doubles.
Shooting the ball, Rainey's overall percentage of 56.9% from the floor places him 3rd in the AMCC, while his 58.8% shooting in AMCC play ranked 4th. He also connected for the whole season on 37.2% of his threes and 38.2% in AMCC play (both 10th AMCC).
